Funding For Performing Artists:
Henry Kapono Foundation Covid-19 Relief Fund — for musicians and teachers
Hawaii Pandemic Unemployment Assistance [PUA] for gig workers, self-employed, freelancers, independent contractors
Grammy Recording Academy MusiCares — for members of the music industry
Musicians Foundation — financial assistance to musicians and their families in times of need, crisis or transition.
Cerf+ Artists Safety Net — emergency financial relief assistance is a safety-net for those artists who contract the virus
Music Health Alliance — healthcare support services and relief grants to uninsured members of the music industry
Artist Relief — $5000 Relief Grants for performing artists in dire emergency situations
Artist Relief Project - $200 stipends and free resources for anyone pursuing the arts as a career (any discipline, any level of experience)
Artist Relief Tree — $250 Grants for those pursuing careers as artists (of any type)
Sweet Relief COVID-19 Fund — for musicians and music industry workers, to go towards medical expenses, lodging, clothing, food and other vital living expenses
Freelancers Union: Freelancers Relief Fund — provides relief for gig workers
New Music Solidarity Fund — help new/creative/improvised music freelancers whose livelihood has been threatened as a result of performances that have been canceled during the COVID-19 crisis
Artist + Activist Relief Fund - This fund, created by The Soze Foundation, TaskForce and Invisible Hand, will support artists and activists whose work has been impacted by COVID-19. (currently not accepting new applications)
Twenty Summers Emergency Arts Fund - An Emergency Arts Fund for artists (up to $500) and arts organizations (up to $1k) suffering from unexpected and unmanageable financial loss as a result of the Coronavirus.
Equal Sound Corona Relief Fund — monetary support to musicians who have lost income due to a canceled gig as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak
Jazz Foundation of America — provides housing, assistance, pro bono medical care, disaster relief and direct financial support in times of crisis
The Creator Fund — providing $500 grants to artists (currently out of funds, but join the waitlist)
The Haven Foundation — providing aid for artists who have had at least 40% of their income come from their art over the last 3 years
Arts and Culture Leaders of Color Emergency Fund — $200 immediate emergency funding for artists who self-identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color).
Economic Support (Hawaii-specific):
Hawaii State Federation of Labor AFL-CIO — also offering drive-through free food distribution to any AFM union member
“A Thriving LĀHUI” — A compiled list of resources for our local community
SNAP Hawaii — provides food and nutritional support for qualifying low-income and families in need
MEDQUEST Hawaii — provides adults and children access to health and medical coverage through managed care plans
Grab-and-Go Meals - Breakfast and lunch are available for pickup in our community free of charge Parents and caregivers must be accompanied by a child to be eligible
Hawaii Public Housing Authority (HPHA) Meal Assistance Program — A short term meal program for individuals who are 1) 65 years or older; 2) disabled individuals; or 3) individuals who recently tested Covid-19 positive or have been exposed to Covid-19 and are in quarantine. You are not eligible if you are participating in other meal assistance programs such as SNAP benefits or receiving EBT.
Economic Relief for Small Business Owners:
Small Business Relief and Recovery Fund — to reimburse local small businesses for costs incurred from business interruption due to Emergency Proclamations and help small businesses implement safety precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19
