ANNOUNCING NOMINATIONS FOR 2020 HMTA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
HMTA welcomes nominations for the Board of Directors through June 1, 2020. Elections will be held at the annual membership meeting in August of 2020 (date TBD).
Only Active HMTA members may submit nominations. Members may nominate multiple candidates.
Self-nomination (volunteering) is allowed and encouraged.
Non-members can be nominated, but must join as a member before being included on the ballot.

Mission
Hawaii Music Teachers Association, Inc. is affiliated with Music Teachers National Association, Inc. Our mission is “to promote the professional growth and development of its members and to further the art of music by providing programs that encourage and support teaching, performance, composition, and scholarly research.”
Role of the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors shall be the governing body of the Association and shall be composed of all directors and officers holding office. The Board of Directors shall have general supervision and control of the affairs of the Association and shall be charged with the responsibility of carrying out the purposes as specified in the mission of the organization.
